Ireland’s first ever Maritime Security Strategy is being launched today.
It will see the Naval Service get new powers to safeguard and protect our sovereignty rights in Irish waters.
Over €1 billion is being ringfenced for the plan, seen by Government as crucial to addressing growing security threats.
