Demonstrators gather in Strabane for a fuel protest


A large group of demonstrators have gathered in Strabane for a slow-moving fuel protest.

This is in response to the rising prices seen across Northern Ireland.

Strabane organisers are calling for cuts to excise duty, VAT and Carbon Tax as well as a cap on the price of fuel.

Spokesperson for the protest, Michael McLaughlin, thanked the agricultural and distribution sector for joining the protest and says it’s important that more sectors come out in support of the demonstrations:
