More than 240 drivers have been caught using their phones or not wearing a seatbelt this weekend.
Gardaí have also detected over 2,400 people speeding during the May Bank Holiday road safety campaign – which continues until tomorrow morning.
123 motorists have been arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
There have also been two deaths on the road across the last four days, bringing the total number of road deaths so far this year to 57.
