A garden table was set on fire and a flower pot was destroyed in an act of criminal damage in Carndonagh.
Gardaí say a man believed to be in his 60s was at the rear of a business on Pound Street at around 3am on Thursday when the incidents occurred.
He is described as having long grey hair.
The business owner discovered the table still smouldering on the patio the following morning and extinguished it, and anyone with information is asked to contact Gardaí.
