A new tax on derelict sites will be administered by Revenue instead of local councils.
Tánaiste Simon Harris will brief Cabinet tomorrow on plans to introduce the tax as part of the upcoming Finance Bill.
The Finance Minister says the decision is being “taken out of frustration” over the lack of enforcement of the current derelict property levy by local authorities.
