Pope Francis says his predecessor Benedict has ‘enriched and invigorated’ the Catholic Church. During an audience with the cardinals, Pope Francis paid a heart felt tribute to Benedict.
Pope Francis is the first prelate from the new world and the first Jesuit to the papacy.
Pope Francis intends on visiting Benedict at the papal residence in Castel Gandolfo, south of Rome. The date for this visit has not been set yet.
