The hosepipe ban is being lifted for Donegal and 12 other counties from Thursday.
Uisce Eireann says the conservation order for Cavan, Clare, Donegal, Galway, Kerry, Leitrim, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Monaghan, Roscommon, Sligo and Westmeath will expire at 11.59 on Wednesday night.
However, it will be extended for the remaining 13 counties in the east and south of the country until the end of September.
The lifting of the ban for some parts of the country is due to an improvement in the availability of water for supply and increased rainfall.
The utility has thanked the public for efforts to help protect supplies.
