Donegal County Council is being asked to examine the introduction of older person and autism-friendly parking spaces across the county.
The proposal comes from Buncrana based Cllr Fionán Bradley, who says it is based on a scheme introduced by Fingal County Council.
He says designated spaces closer to building entrances would make it easier for older people with mobility difficulties to access services and facilities.
Cllr Bradley believes the initiative would also improve accessibility for people with autism and help promote greater inclusion in communities:
