New data shows people are drinking less

People in Ireland are drinking less.

Data from the Drinks Industry Federation shows a reduction of 36 per cent in our alcohol consumption over the last 25 years.

The vast majority of drinkers do so responsibly and in moderation.

Author of the report and Associate Professor Emeritus at Dublin City University, Anthony Foley, says people are more focused on healthy living.
