Derry City face HNK Rijeka in UEFA Conference League Qualifying at the Ryan McBride Brandywell tomorrow evening (Thursday).
The Croatians won the first leg 1-0 last Thursday thanks to a second-half effort from Toni Fruk but the tie is very much alive ahead of tomorrow’s return leg.
Derry were knocked out of Europa League qualifying at the hands of CSKA Sofia a fortnight ago after a 2-1 defeat at home saw them go down 4-2 on aggregate.
Although beaten on the night, Candy Stripes manager Tiernan Lynch says the fans were a huge part of a really positive home performance against the Bulgarians.
