Over 100 admitted to hospital without at bed in the north west today

Over 100 patients were admitted to hospital without a bed across the north west this morning as facilities continue to be under pressure.

This is according to figures released by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.

52 were at Letterkenny University Hospital which is one higher than yesterday and makes it the fifth most overcrowded hospital in the state today.

Yesterday, the HSE urged the public to use all available care options due to the pressure the Emergency Department at LUH was under.

Sligo University Hospital had the third highest amount of patients without a bed today at 55
