Up to 300 new jobs could be created in Letterkenny as Vertiv plans to expand its manufacturing and testing operations.
The global digital infrastructure company is to submit a planning application to Donegal County Council for an additional 7,000 square metres of space at its Letterkenny facility.
Vertiv says the expansion is being driven by growing global demand for infrastructure supporting artificial intelligence, colocation and hyperscale data centres.
The company says it has already taken on more than 500 employees across its local facilities since the beginning of this year and continues to recruit.
The Taoiseach Micheál Martin says the investment is very welcome news for the region and will support balanced regional development and strengthen Ireland’s enterprise base.
