Donegal County Council is urging both motorists and cyclists to exercise caution on the roads.
They are asking cyclists to be visible, wear a helmet, use lights and stay alert.
Meanwhile, drivers are being asked to slow down, stay patient and give cyclists space when overtaking.
Donegal County Council say both parties should respect each other and follow the rules of the road.
