There were 97 admitted patients without beds in North West hospitals this morning, 42 of them in Letterkenny University Hospital and 55 in Sligo.
INMO figures published today show of the 42 patients without beds in Letterkenny, 11 were on Emergency Department trolleys.
Sligo was the second most overcrowded hospital in the state this morning, Letterkenny was the third.
Limerick returned the highest figure with 80.
