The Equality Minister says the days of women “making tea and washing jerseys” at GAA events are long gone.
Norma Foley has called on the association to provide answers on integration to members around the country.
It comes after the former President Mary McAleese resigned as chair of the Integration Committee yesterday, saying she was “devastated”
when the GAA told the committee it could not commit to a definitive timeline for the amalgamation of the GAA, LGFA and Camogie Association.
Former Tanaiste Mary Coughlan is Chair of the GAA County Board in Donegal.
She believes the proposed timelines were not realistic, and that’s where the problem lies.
