Donegal County Council has confirmed that the Mill Bridge in Buncrana will be subject to a road closure from Monday to Friday next week for essential road works.
Diversions will be in effect for the duration of the works with delays expected.
A local representative says this announcement has caused further frustration from residents adding to what is felt by the current one-way system in operation on the bridge.
