Police are appealing for information and witnesses following a serious road traffic collision yesterday in Coleraine.
A collision occurred between a young boy on a bicycle and a black Volkswagen Sirocco in the Warnocks Lane area at around 6:40pm.
Officers attended the scene alongside the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, where medical treatment was provided to the seven-year-old.
He was transported to hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
The incident left Warnocks Lane closed in both directions at the time, but it has since fully reopened to road users.
Police are asking anyone travelling in the area to review dash-cam or other footage they may have captured of the collision, and to call them on 101 with any relevant information using reference number 1271 13/09/26.
