Donegal County Council is being urged to write to the TII requesting an annual budget to maintain the county’s greenways.
Cllr Michael McBride says some greenways are already falling into a state of disrepair, with pebbles, stones and overgrown bushes making them less attractive and usable.
He says the Council needs to ensure it can afford to maintain existing greenways before further expansions take place.
