The INMO will hold lunchtime protests in eight locations tomorrow, including one at Letterkenny University Hospital to mark the beginning of a work-to-rule by senior nurse and midwife managers and their linked grades.
The Letterkenny protest takes place from 1 o’clock until 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon.
Directors of Nursing/Midwifery, Assistant Directors of Nursing/Midwifery, ANPs, AMPs, and Nurse/Midwife Tutors are taking the action over the non-implementation of proposals to modernise pay and grading structures.
The dispute involves approximately 3,500 nursing and midwifery managers and their linked grades, represented by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO), Psychiatric Nurses Association (PNA) and SIPTU. The grades involved work across a wide range of healthcare settings, including psychiatry, community services, public health nursing, maternity services, paediatric services, general hospital services, long-term care and palliative care.
