A Letterkenny councillor is calling for a re-evaluation in how homelessness is managed in the municipal district.
Cllr Gerry McMonagle told the chamber that a mother and her two children recently had to leave a hostel where they were staying because the room had planning permission issues.
He says the case highlights the unsuitability of current temporary accommodation measures.
Cllr McMonagle has asked that the Homeless Action Team to provide an update on the Homeless Action Plan 2023 to 2028 and its effectiveness in Letterkenny:
