The satellite service that provides coverage in rural areas is shutting down in 2028.
‘Saorsat’ has operated in remote parts of the country since 2012.
In a notice on its website today, it says the satellite that delivers the service ‘reaches end of life’ in two years time, and there is no alternative available.
The operator is asking those affected to contact their local TV retailers or aerial installers for advice, and check if they can get reception for Saorview’s services.
