Nurses and midwives are expected to pass an emergency motion for industrial action today, which will include the withdrawal of labour.
The issue is top of the agenda on the second day of the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation annual conference.
The INMO motion is part of a public sector-wide campaign against a government threat to cut the pay of nurses, midwives and other public servants following the rejection of Croke Park 2.
