There has been a broad welcome to the news that a new £15 million whiskey distillery in Derry has been granted planning permission.
Niche Drinks, the company behind the city’s St Brendan’s cream liqueur operation, is to build a custom-built factory complex in the city.
The move is however dependent on the company’s current site being awarded a change of use to retail and then being sold.
