The PSNI and Gardai are investigating claims from a man that he was raped in Inishowen in the early hours of Sunday the 5th of May.
The man in his 20’s was on a night out in Derry – he says he was offered a lift by a man who claimed to be a taxi driver.
The driver of the car, described as middle aged, stocky and bald, then drove the man to towards inch island.
The alleged assault was carried out on a minor route known locally as The Watery Road.
Journalist with the ‘Derry Journal’ Laurence McClenaghan has been speaking to the alleged victims mother, he told the Shaun Doherty Show that she wants anyone with information to come forward:
