The Joint Policing Committee in Letterkenny is to reach out to non-nationals in the town.
The initiative will coincide with a public meeting, planned for the coming weeks, to relaunch the Neighbourhood Watch scheme and highlight the role of the JPC in the community.
A reconfiguration of the committee is also on the cards.
Mayor Cllr Dessie Larkin says that last week’s murder of Bogdon Michalkiewicz highlights what can be a lack of communication, and that’s something he wants to see addressed……….
