A plaque is to be unveiled in commemoration of the life of Francis Makemie in Ramelton this afternoon.
Francis Makemie was the founding father of American Presbyterianism, he was born in Ramelton in 1658.
In 1982 a stamp was issued in Ireland in memory of the 300th anniversary of his ordination.
The unveiling of the plaque today is being carried out by Donegal South-West Deputy, Dinny McGinley, he said it’s a special occasion:
