The Health and Safety Authority has expressed serious concerns over new figures showing people in the fishing industry are 40 times more likely to be killed at work, compared to the overall economy.
The figures mean that roughly 1 in every 1,000 fishermen are killed at work every year.
The Health and Safety Authority has launched a new awareness campaign aimed at tackling the problem.
