Derry City bowed out of the EA Sports cup last night as Dundalk booked their place in the semi-finals of the competition.
The Lilywhites under the management of former Derry boss Stephen Kenny were 2-1 winners at the Brandywell.
David McMillan and Kurtis Byrne scored the goals for the visitors before Patrick McEleney grabbed a consolation for the Candystripes.
Speaking with Martin Holmes after the defeat McEleney said the comeback was left to late.
