A Donegal Noth East Deputy is accusing the govenrment of using education grants to win votes.
Deputy Charlie McConalogue, Fianna Fail’s education spokesperson says the Minor Works Grant is not included in the Department of Education’s grant calendar for the coming academic year.
The grant, which provides funding for maintenance and upgrade works, had been suspended for two years, but was re-instated last year.
However, Deputy Mc Conaliogue says it now seems that was just a cynical ploy ahead of this years local elections, and it seems the programmes is being axed again…………..
