Taoiseach Enda Kenny is being accused of alienating Fine Gael’s core vote with his handling of the John McNulty debacle.
Mr McNulty was nominated as Fine Gael’s candidate for the Seanad by election, having cited his appointment as a board member of the Irish Museum of Modern Art.

Meanwhile, the Fianna Fáil Leader Micheál Martin is seeking a special debate in the Dáil on Tuesday over the Taoiseach’s handling of the John McNulty controversy.
Deputy Martin claims Enda Kenny’s comments on Friday have not cleared up the matter.
