Best ruled out of South African test

Rory Best is out of Saturday’s opening November International against South Africa.
The IRFU say that the Ulster captain’s calf injury is taking longer than expected to heal, which means that Joe Schmidt will now have to choose between Sean Cronin and Richardt Strauss to start at hooker for tomorrow’s team announcment.
Meanwhile, there is selection that Schmidt could choose to partner Robbie Henshaw and Jared Payne together in the centre for Saturday – despite expectation that just one of the pair would start alongside Gordan D’Arcy.
