As the HSE is told it’s unrealistic to use English templates to set Irish ambulance response times, a Donegal councillor says it’s for a full review of the service.
Cllr Ciaran Brogan was commenting after the Irish Times published details of the latest document, which says Ireland is too rural for current response times to be met.
It says the only way to improve response times would be to hire hundreds of extra staff at a cost of 15 million euro per year, and even that would yield very limited results.
Cllr Brogan says the most important thing now is that the paramedics at the coalface are consulted……………………
