22-year-old Derry woman dies from extreme altitude sickness

The young Derry woman who died after collapsing after a volcano trek in Indonesia has donated nine organs.
Lisa Orsi had been on life support since she suffered extreme altitude sickness last month.
The 22-year-old, who had been working as a physiotherapist in Singapore, was pronounced dead early this morning following extensive transplant surgery.
Her parents Dennis and Sharon were at her bedside at Singapore General Hospital.
After a trek up a volcano on East Java last month, a popular tourist route, Ms Orsi collapsed in the shower suffering extreme altitude sickness and quickly fell into a coma.
Medics in Indonesia and Singapore spent the last two weeks initially trying to save her life before turning their attention to using her organs for donation.
Ms Orsi was described as a fit, healthy young woman who enjoyed athletics and gaelic football after she took up sports since moving to Derry from Donegal at the age of five.
She was a physiotherapist and half way through a two year contract at Bright Vision Hospital in Hougang and had been playing Gaelic football with the Singapore Gaelic Lions in her first year in the city.
Lisa had been on holiday in Indonesia, and her parents thanked the medical teams that initially treated her and the hospital staff in Singapore.
Tens of thousands of pounds were raised in the Northwest to help her family with medical costs.
Her parents said they were grateful for all the support they had received.
They said they were making arrangements for her body to be brought home.
