A Co Donegal priest has said he has not apoligised over comments he made about gay marriage over the weekend.
Annagry based priest Fr John Britto spoke out against gay marriage during a sermon at mass on Saturday night.
He told the congregation that Eamon McGee was wrong to back the Yes campaign in May’s referendum on same sex marriage.
A number of people attending that mass objected to the comments at left.
It had been reported that at mass this morning in St Marys Star of the Sea Church Fr Britto had apologised for the comments.
But speaking to Highland Radio News this evening, Fr Britto said he had not apologized and he hadn’t even mentioned Eamon McGees name in mass today.
