Fine Gael’s Health Spokesperson Dr James Reilly is challenging government TDs to support the motion he’s moving in the Dail tonight calling for extensive reform across the health service.
Already, Fine Gael locally have said that North West TDs, including Dr James Mc Daid, who have lost the Fianna Fail whip as a result of differences over health issues should seriously consider their position.
Dr Reilly says he wants to see annual budgets replaced with the “money follows the patient” model, which he says has brought savings and efficiencies of 10% elsewhere.
Most importantly, he says he wants an election so the people can pass their verdict on health cutbacks……….
