Senator Cecilia Keaveney is to meet with Justice Minister Dermot Ahern next week to seek a commitment on the provision of a new courthouse and garda station in Carndonagh.
Minister Ahern is due in the county on Monday to officially open Buncrana Garda Station
It was initially planned for the new facilities in Carndonagh be constructed at the same time as the Buncrana station, but the projects were separated.
Locals are angry that a small amount of improvement work was carried out on the buildings in Carndonagh, sparking fears the project has been permanently put on hold.
Senator Keaveney says she shares those concerns, and will be seeking a commitment to the contrary….
