Site Engineer

Churchill Stone are currently seeking a Site Engineer to join their asphalt and roadworks team. This role will involve working closely with our surfacing crews to deliver high-quality asphalt works across a range of projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting out, quality control, and ensuring smooth coordination of paving operations on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out line and level for asphalt and road construction works
• Ensuring correct levels, falls, and compaction requirements are achieved
• Working closely with asphalt crews, plant operators, and supervisors during paving operations
• Monitoring and recording quantities (tonnage, areas, depths)
• Carrying out quality checks on materials, temperature, and finished surfaces
• Liaising with contracts manager, clients, and subcontractors
• Ensuring all works comply with project specifications and health & safety standards
• Maintaining accurate site records

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Previous experience in roadworks, asphalt, or surfacing (highly desirable)
