Problems with Saorview coverage in the Quigley’s Point area, after the Digital switch over, have been raised in the Dáil.
A number of residents in the East Inishowen area will not be able to pick-up digital TV through their existing aerial and face the increased cost of the service via satellite.
But raising the issue, Deputy Joe McHugh says local information is that recieving the signal through a satellite dish in that area may not be possible either:
Responding Deputy Fergus O’Dowd said providing the service was a responsibility of RTE and not the government – but his understanding was that 100% coverage would be available:
