As an elected member of Killybegs Community Council for the past eight years, I have worked closely with community groups, local and regional administrators and with the local authority. I believe my time has not been wasted and I would like to think that Killybegs and the wider area of Donegal South West is the better for my efforts. I am also Chair of the sponsoring group for all the Community Emloyment schemes from Inver to Killybegs. I am a member of the Action Committee to fight for retention of the LYIT Tourism School in Killybegs and I am Chair of the Liaison Committee negotiating with the HSE to prevent down-grading of the Killybegs Community Hospital, a vital healthcare facility for the entire South West Donegal area.
