Former Republic of Ireland winger Ray Houghton has approved the appointment of Mick McCarthy as Martin O’Neill’s replacement.
It’s expected that McCarthy will be announced as the new Republic of Ireland Senior manager today at an FAI press conference, along with Stephen Kenny being named Irish U21 manager tomorrow, with a view to taking over the Senior Job in 2020.
