Woman killed in tragic fall to be buried a week after her wedding

The funeral will take place tomorrow of a newly wed Inishowen woman who died in hospital yesterday from injuries sustained in a fall at the weekend.
Last Thursday, Caroline Farren marked her 40th birthday by marrying Tony Cahalin at the Guildhall in Derry.
On Sunday morning at 3 o’clock, she was walking on a bridge at Tul Na Ree in Carndonagh when she fell backwards down a six metre embankment, hitting a hard surface underneath.
She sustained serious head and back injuries, and was rushed to Letterkenny General Hospital, but she was pronounced dead yesterday morning.
Gardai are investigating the incident, but have confirmed they are treating at as a tragic accident.
They will examine the results of a post mortem examination which took place at Letterkenny General Hospital last evening.
