The Irish Women’s Council has slammed Tanaiste Mary Coughlan for adopting an ‘ I’m alright Jill’ attitude to women in politics.
The Donegal TD joined most other female deputies this week in stating they would not support measures to correct the under representation of women in Dail Eireann.
One suggesting to correct the imbalance would be candidate quotas, but the Tanaiste is against this idea.
