A Sinn Féin councillor has rejected comments made on Highland Radio made by Letterkenny General Hospital’s Assistant Manager this week suggesting that an IMPACT work to rule earlier in the year had prevented management from realising the extent of their budgetary problems.
Cllr Mick Quinn says he believes management locally has been handed a poisoned chalice, and the problems being faced at the hospital are a direct result of cutbacks implemented by the government.
To say otherwise, he claims, is to mislead the public:
