Willie Hay to stand down from Derry City Council

The speaker of the Northern Ireland assembly William Hay is to quit Derry city council next month after nearly 30 years as a councillor.
Mr Hay’s decision is in line with the DUP’s commitment to end double jobbing.
Mr Hay has now confirmed he will stand down from Derry City Council at the start of November.
