Donegal County Council says overnight snowfalls were not as heavy as had been feared in many parts of the county, and all main routes in the county are passable with care. the worst problems this morning were experienced in Inishowen, on the Barnesmore Gap and in parts of South and South West Donegal.
Meanwhile, the council says salt and grit stocks are being replenished daily, and lessons learned during the cold snap in January are being applied.
