Donegal County Council says all priority roads in the county are open and clear, but continued caution is advised on back roads and untreated footpaths, where packed ice is being covered by a layer of water from melting snow, and that’s causing very slippery conditions.
Meanwhile, as forecasters say there’s more cold weather to come, the council is striving to rebuild its reserves of salt.
