The Donegal Ancestry Centre in Ramelton, will close it’s doors today after 20 years.
The centre was the official family history research centre for County Donegal and was established to help people trace their Donegal ancestors.
It employed 3 full-time and 20 part-time staff.
Local Councillor Ian McGarvey, says the closure of the centre is not just a loss to the County, but a loss to the country:
