Coughlan and O’Domhnaill both selected by FF in Donegal SW

As expected, Fianna Fáil has  adopted a two candidate strategy in Donegal South West, with Tanaiste and Education Minister Mary Coughlan and Senator Broan O’Domhnaill both selected by the party to contest the upcoming general election.
Up to 400 delegates attended the event in Glenties this afternoon, chaired by the Minister of State for Labour Affairs Dara Calleary.
Former Senator and Councillor Enda Bonner, who was also nominated,  withdrew from the race at today’s convention. He told delegates that he believed the other two candidates should go ahead unopposed, and he offered them his full support.
