Mary Coughlan says Taoiseach will comment on his future today

The Tanaiste Mary Coughlan says the Taoiseach Brian Cowen will make an announcement on his future as leader of Fianna Fáil later this evening.
However she said – as of now – there is still no vacancy at the top of Fianna Fáil.
It’s understood the Foreign Affairs Minister Michael Martin left his Cork constituency this morning, prompting speculation that he may be about to mount a leadership challenge.
