PSNI recover van full of musical instruments stolen in Donegal

Police in Derry have recovered more than £20,000 worth of musical equipment that had been stolen in Co Donegal.
Among the items recovered was a guitar that had belonged to the late Jim Gilchrist, who was murdered in Derry in September 2005.
The sequence of events began in the early hours of yesterday, when police were contacted by a member of the public about a suspicious van at Victoria Road , Strabane.
Two people were subsequently arrested at Old Strabane Road , Gobnascale.  A 21-year-old man was charged with a number of offences and is to appear at Derry Magistrates Court today.  A 21-year old woman was released pending further enquiries.
In a follow-up search, police recovered the musical equipment in the Clooney area of Derry .
The van and its load of musical equipment had been stolen in Muff.
Police believe that the white Transit Connect van was involved in a number of collisions in the Bready, Newbuildings and Waterside areas and are keen to hear from anyone who saw these incidents.
